Steve Politis, PT, DPT, FAFS, CKTP

Since attending physical therapy school in Phoenix at the Arizona School of Health Sciences he has always pursued learning manual therapy. Steve’s approach to physical therapy is a style that integrates manual therapy techniques with Functional Training. He is a Fellow of Applied Functional Science from the Gray Institute for Functional Transformation (GIFT). This unique training focuses on understanding biomechanics and the kinetic chain that links the body together. These techniques utilize the actual tasks the patient wants to do as the basis for exercises and rehabilitation.

Steve has worked with a variety of orthopeadic patient populations and occasionally neurological cases. He has experience with post surgical cases, joint replacements,  and senior populations. Steve enjoys working with athletes of all ages and levels. He has experience with ballet dancers, elite level rugby players, and high school athletes. He believes everyone is an athlete; it is just a matter of helping people realize their abilities.

As a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist Steve has worked as a fitness coach for different sports teams including rugby, hockey, football, and ballet. He has written articles for local publications on several fitness topics, as well as gait and balance for the elderly.

Steve has been a rugby player for over 20 years, along with coaching he enjoys promoting the sport on all levels. He also enjoys anything outdoors including backpacking, hiking, hunting, canoeing, winter sports, and running in the woods.
