David Self, PT, DPT, AT.,C
Dave has been working in the field of sports medicine and physical
therapy since 1996, and has been with MTI Physical Therapy since 2000.
His work experience includes two years with the Seattle Seahawks, where
he gained an extensive background in sports related injuries and
returning athletes to performing at the highest level. He has also been
the Head Athletic Trainer for Juanita High School and the Seattle
Sounders Select Soccer Club. Dave has a strong exercise background and
enjoys watching patients achieve their goals through hard work. In
addition to specializing in sports and spine injuries, Dave has 12
years of experience in the fabrication of custom foot orthotics for
recreation and sports use.
Dave fills his free time with running, golfing, backpacking, and chasing his three children.
Education:
- Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Central Washington University, with a minor in Athletic Training (1996).
- Masters of Physical Therapy degree from Eastern Washington University (1998).
- Post-graduate two-year full time residency program leading to a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from the Ola Grimsby Institute (OGI) in 2003.
- Part 3 residency training from the OGI (2005)
